Below is a summary of Level I training

Part I: Online Operations Security (OPSEC) Awareness Training -
One of the key aspects of mission preparedness is training. By completing the online Operations Security (OPSEC) Awareness Training, you will know how to handle sensitive information concerning our missions, our capabilities and our partner agencies.
It is an online only course.  Click on http://www.capnhq.gov to begin.
You will be accessing eServices, CAP's secure website.  See "First time eServices users 'click here' to activate your account!"  This enables you to register to receive an eServices Username & Password.  Once gaining access, click on the link on the left, 'CAP Online Exams' and scroll down to 'Operations' and click on 'Operations Security Awareness Training'.  See the Site Security Warning advice at the bottom of that web page before signing in.  View the training and at the end, clicking on I agree will complete Part I.  Your results will automatically be recorded in your eServices record.

Part II: The CAP Foundations Course can be self-paced and open book.  There are a total of six modules for you to complete in the first part.  Each module contains a three to five page article for you to read, along with a brief quiz.  Save your answer sheet.  You will need it later.  Click Foundations Course to get started.

Note:  Part II can be completed before the CAPID is assigned but Parts I, III and IV cannot.

Part III: Cadet Protection Program Training (CPPT) is a required element of Level I and is designed to introduce new senior members, Cadet Sponsor Members, and cadets 18 and older to CAP's Cadet Protection policies.   Available online only at eServices .  Click on that link, then click on "Cadet Protection" on the left.  Show me how .

Part IV:  Equal Opportunity Training (EOT) explains policies and member rights and responsibilities that will ensure compliance with CAP nondiscrimination directives.  Click on EOT to get started.  When you view the slides, the very last slide has an 'I Agree' link which you have to copy and paste into your web browser (and then go to that website) for completion.

Note:  After Parts I to IV are completed the member meets with the Professional Development Officer and Commander to discuss any questions and select a Specialty Track.  Be sure to bring your Part II and Part III paperwork with you to the meeting.
